For this project, I was challenged to create a website for Rinus Van de Velde, specifically targeting firefighters. It was an interesting challenge combining these two worlds—Rinus Van de Velde’s art and the dynamic demands of firefighter training.
Concept: A training program for firefighters set in a 3D world, using installations by Rinus Van de Velde.

Rinus is best known for his charcoal drawings, but he now finds joy in creating installations, which he features in his exhibitions. This made it interesting to work with these pieces in my project.
The website serves as a training space with various tasks, where each task is represented by one of Rinus’s installations. I focused on the exploratory and challenging nature of the target audience. The adrenaline they build during these tasks, the action they experience, and the sensory stimulation they feel during this training are key elements.
I chose a 3D world to engage firefighters as much as possible. Since you wouldn’t typically expect firefighters to visit Rinus’s exhibitions, I reimagined his works with more excitement and adrenaline.
